Introduction

Bumblebees offer a safe, home like environment where children can
develop intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally. This is
accomplished through a variety of fun-filled activities designed to promote
learning through interaction, doing so in the manner that is found to be most
comfortable for the individual child. Our curriculum is based on:
“Learning through fun and play”

English is used as the primary medium for instruction and we warmly
welcome children of any nationality and provide a multicultural atmosphere
where they can learn about different cultures in a pleasant social setting.
Bumblebees will offer child care services for children
between the ages of 3-6. Bumblebees day starts from 07:30 to 17:00 Children
will be exposed to a wide range of activities in English, including arts and
crafts, socialization, large and small muscle group activities, and general
learning. Bumblebees will provide qualified and experienced staff. We also
guaranty that there will always be native English teachers through out the
year.

Through out the day Bumblebees will offer Breakfast, lunch and
snack. Food provided will be healthy and nutritious. Due to religious and cultural
differences we do not serve pork, but all other meats are regularly given.
Children with special dietary needs can be provided, however this will be at
the expense to the parents.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Curriculum

Bumblebees strives to promote a warm and
relaxed atmosphere so that children can enjoy the time that they are in our
care.
The curriculum
promotes development by focusing on four learning components:
1. Language and Cognitive skills
Activities are
designed to teach children these basic skills: counting, writing, memorizing,
organizing, and classifying in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Example: letters,
numbers, colors, shapes, sorting, patterns
2. Physical Education
Exercise provides
children opportunities to develop their physical strength, coordination, and
balance. This increases their self-control and esteem and to release energy,
which is vital for growth and development.
Example: rhythm exercises,
balance exercises, dancing, relaxation and out-door sports
3. Arts and Crafts
Our activities
encourage children to develop their individuality and creativity and they are
valuable to children's fine motor development and artistic expression.
Example: drawing,
painting, cutting, pasting and molding
4. Social and Emotional Awareness
The class offers an
opportunity for children to become aware of their feelings in relation to their
environment. They should be encouraged a healthy respect for others as well as
a strong self-concept. Through this they learn to make positive relationships
and value friendship, which is a key part of social and emotional development.
Examples: Greeting, manners
and rules, Problem solving, Sharing and Respecting
others
PRE-SCHOOL
This planned program will prepare the children for school, by
further expanding the developmental aspects of their individual growth.
We prepare them by exposing them to academics while continuing to have plenty
of time for social skills work and free-play time.
